Player of the Game

Could someone tell me how the game engine picks the PoG. I had my ace pitching a no-hitter with 7 K's and 5 BB's. But the PoG was my SS who went 3 for 5 with 2HR and 5 RBI's. I think there is no doubt that a no-hitter is much better than that. The game score of the pitcher was 89 vs 77 for the batter. Very weird ...

The game "appears" to favor power over.........but I don't really know the formula, nor does anyone that I know of besides the developer.
