I am having this problem with my retired players not being saved. At first I thought it was just because my league was only 1 year old, and I had "cleared past records" on all the players. I figured that they didn't meet the required numbers to be saved. Well, I now just finished year two, but still no retired players were saved. Surely at least one met the required amount of at bats or IP. Thoughts anyone?
Here is my league setup for clues. Fictional League started in the year 1890. Cleared all records (League and individual) Some Player pictures. I may have used a backup file at one time. Can't remember. Any idea's would be appreciated. It's not a big issue at the moment, but when my league starts getting on in years, I would like to look back. Thanks, Trammiker |

I typically don't see any retired players the first couple years of fictional leagues either. I don't think you've had any retired players meet the minimum to be saved. What that minimum is, I don't know.

Ok, thanks Spleen. If didn't have any the first couple of years, then I feel better. I just didn't want to keep going if there was indeed a problem.

From my experience it appears that positional players require 1000 at bats and pitchers require 300 innings pitched before appearing in the retired player database.

I believe it is 1,000 AB and 250 innings pitched. Seeing no "retired" players for a fictional league is very common the first couple of years, till some league history is built...

Ok, guess I jumped the gun. I backed the league up before I went to the next year, so when I get a chance I will import it into a new dummy leage and see if any of those that retired had over those numbers. Thanks for the help.
