Marquez vs Pac
So as usual I am wondering if this PPV event is worth ordering? I haven't seen the undercard not that I would most of the fighters anyways. I was just wondering what the general consensus was around here regarding the PPV investment.

I very rarely order PPVs, but this is one I might. Two great fighters, and Marquez gives Pacman fits. I think this will be a wild one and well worth it.

I will be ordering it for sure.
The undercard is not as string as the Mayweather card, but Casamayor vs. Bradley is somewhat interesting. I like Prescott, and he has to win against Alvarado or his career will be in the dumper and guys are always dangerous in that position. I wish there was at least one more GOOD match up, but not really. I am more then happy to support two of the class acts of boxing so I will buy for sure. |

I'll be streaming it, but I think the fight will be great. Here is my preview.
There will be blood: Pacquiao vs. Marquez

Like his trainer, I had Marquez 117-112.

No way Marquez won that fight. He just did not do enough to take the belt from the champ. He definitely had some good rounds but I think taking off the 12th lost it for him.

However if I am Mayweather I now jump at the chance to fight Pacman asap.

I had the fight a draw Manny won rounds 1,5,6,10,11 and one mid late round I had it even. (it was either 8 or 9) 115-113 sure I can see it but no higher. Marquez didn't do enough to take it from pacman.

Its simple .... Manny wasn't landing as clean as Marquez .... it wasn't an amateur fight. Using amateur rules, Manny wins.
On facebook, and internet radio, its 4-1 in favor of Marquez.

I had Marquez winning the fight by at least four points, this was clearly a case of boxing politics. However I did score the first fight to Pacquiao and the second as a draw, so I still can't split them overall.
I would be very surprised if Mayweather doesn't shortly call out Pacquiao. |

im sticking with my draw anything 116-112 and higher is bogus. The fight was that close.

I wanted Pac to win just to add fire for the Mayweather matchup but he didn't win this fight... I know there's different trains of thought but I give effectiveness over aggression any day... Marquez was more effective and plain and simple Pac was as desperate, frustrated and confused as I have ever seen him. I really feel for Marquez. I felt that Mayweather would beat Pac before and after this I'd bet the house.

People want a Rocky movie. Counter-punchers get screwed by the judges. They want highly aggressive palookas that have swollen eyes and blood flowing from various cuts. Pac-man was lunging all night and was relegated to looking like an amateur. Marquez was taking a half step back and ran him into the right hand all night.

It was a great fight to watch. If I'm standing up, its a great fight. I didn't sit down the entire 12 rounds.

Marquez 116-113, Manny didn't have one dominant moment in the entire fight. The only thing that surprised me was that Pac was unable to land anything big the whole night. Mayweather would toy with him.
