Expansion on/relocation off

I'm not exactly new to the game, but I need help with what I like to do:

I'd like to replay the Brooklyn Dodgers, starting in 1884 when they were the Brooklyn Atlantics in the American Association.

What I'd like to have: The team should move into the National League in 1890, just like in real life, expansion should take place according to real life, but I don't want the Brooklyn Dodgers to move to LA after the 1957 season.

Other teams could (should) relocate ...

Can this be done ??

Apparently not

Does anybody know if my changes, when I "re-relocate" teams (i.e. when I move the Milwaukee Braves back to Boston) are saved or do I have to do it for the rest of my "life" ??

i think it will ethier move your team to LA no matter what, you could edit it back but would still show up in history i think. It would also do that every year i think.

The best workaround i can think of is to turn off expand/move teams according to history and move or add teams as it happened in real life yourself

Thank you for your help !

When I add a new team, will there automatically be an expansion draft or can I do that manually ?

Or where do these new teams get their players from ?

You would have to turn off automatic expansion/relocation and do all that manually.

You can schedule an expansion draft in league setup.

Also, if the only team you're worried about moving is Brooklyn, then you could leave auto expansion/relocation on until 1957, then disable it before that season starts. This way all previous moves will be automatic for you, and you'd just have to do the rest manually after 57.

Of course after 57 is when most of the work will start for you anyway, since there was no real expansion until 61.

Still would save you a bit of work.
