Hello Everyone;
I purchased the game this week. I spent the last couple of days reading through the forum posts and eventually would love to join a league. Before I do, I want to understand the game mechanics better and learn by setting up my own league. I want to understand the following options and how they will affect my league. I am using a modern day fictional league with fictional players starting in 2011. Visiting Team Gate Share % - 20? Do they really do this in baseball and if so is this the right amount? Dynamic Evolving League: What is the downside of just selecting all the boxes? Is this something I can override and/or manually change later on or will things just begin to happen all of the sudden ie., team relocation etc.. Will I not be able to change it back or void it. Please confirm? Allow incomplete minor league rosters(ghost players). I don't want to do this so I how do I make sure I don't need to do this? Need some help with modifiers? What do I need to adjust to get decent modern day stats? THANK YOU! Jason Last edited by USF; 10-15-2011 at 12:29 PM. |

visiting gate share hasn't been used in RL since 1997, now it may be in the game due to faulty financial I'm not sure if you do set it to 0 just keep an closer eye on other teams so they have enough money
Dynamic League all changes can be changed back under commish mode, the first change and the change back may and most likely will show up in the league history somewhere so making it as it never happened might not be that easy with what to delete to erase the history. That is the only drawback from checking every box in my view otherwise it's a great option Ghost players are really handy because you don't have to watch the minors and make sure they have enough players, if you want it off you just have to keep a very close eye on all minor league teams and make sure they have enough players. so a rookie league team gets an injury you have to replace him on the roster the AI will keep player with one less, not this won't be a problem for one player but by mid-season with 6 guys out then it's a major problem as your pitcher can get injured now but the bullpen is injured so he stays in and gives up 50 runs, I've had it happen So it's always easier to turn on ghost players and also keeping close eye on minor league teams roster levels so that way you may kinda limit the number of ghosts For Modifiers just run auto-recall that will adjust your modifiers to match whatever year you want to match up to. Will help you stay in the range you want |
