Player Coming off DL Playoff Eligible?

I had a starting player placed on the 15 day DL on August 17th with a 6 week injury. He came off the DL two days prior to the start of the playoffs but was not declared playoff eligible. Shouldn't he have been allowed to participate?

I had this happen also but in my case I had to remove someone from the 25 man active roster and place the disable player on that. Once I did this, he was elgible for the playoff roster. Not sure if it's the same scenario but sounds close.

I did remove a player from the 25 man roster but I was still unable to drag and drop the player off the dl and into the active roster box and there was no option to place him on the playoff roster when checking the transaction pop up box. Thanks though....

Ok...after trying various ways to get him onto the playoff roster, I found that I first had to demote him to AAA, then I was allowed to place him on the 25 man playoff roster.

Are you playing with expanded (40 man) rosters in September? If you are there should be no need to take anyone off the 25 man roster or demote the player to AAA. You should be able to put him on the major league roster, provided the player coming off the dl was still on the 40 man roster, which he should be because you didn't use the 60 day dl. Then when the season ends and you pick your 25 man playoff roster he should be eligible.

I was already into the playoffs (in between series so it was legal) so it was the 25 man playoff roster that I could not transfer the former dl players to, even though he was playoff eligible and I had removed a player from the 25 man roster to make room.
