Illegal number of players

I'm several seasons in. One of the computer teams apparently has an "illegal number of players." Looked at the roster and everything looks fine. It happened on Sept. 1 (call up day). I went into commish mode to try to fix it, but still, the problem is there. Any idea as to what might be wrong and what I can do to fix it?

are the minor leagues full? do you need to turn ghost players on? if not maybe try taking control of the team and have the AI set up the roster.

More than likely you have less than 9 players on the teams active roster (usually becomes the team gets very unlucky with injuries). Check to make sure the team has more than 9 players on it's active roster.

could always use the fill team with fictional players, league wide or just for that team. Will fill out the roster to a healthy 25 man roster

Tried all that too. Roster seems perfectly legit.

"Arizona has an illegal number of players on the active roster! (0)"

What scares me is that it's Arizona and that it might involve other teams.

It happened to me once when I called up 15 guys from AAA on September 1st and did not have enough guys available in AAA to field a team. I simply sent a few down and called up a few from AA for the one day, the minor league managers made the adjustment the following day.

Yeah, I've tried all those steps and nothing. Rosters are all in good shape and everything. About all I can do at this point is start over, at least I can find a way to get it fixed.
