A weird question...

Apologies, but this seemed the appropriate place to put this question...

I've seen some online leagues specify that all managers must own the game. I kinda scratched my head at this because I'm not sure what's meant by it (for reasons that are obvious to me but may not be so to others). Perhaps I'm naive or whatnot, but if someone could elaborate further that would be great.

I put it for one its what everyone else has been doing and i think the reasoning behind that is for one someone long time before got into a league and didn't have the game , and second some teams are switching from 11 to 12 and tell them hat while 12 is required 11 isnt and that while the league is in 11 the commish can make the requested changes the the said team, another reason is when it is said in a post "ootp 12 required " is also is saying the version of game that league i in right now so if its not said any where else the person will know . hope this helps and im sure theres other reasons out there i just cant think of them right now

Gotcha. I'm sorry - I'm a bit dense today. =) It was just an odd-sounding statement and I wasn't sure what the impetus was behind it.

its cool , i mean its kinda of a give a way u need the game but its better to list it as so than to have people get into the league and say hey u need to have the game it didnt say that on ur post and then the commish has to repost the opening again

It probably makes it easier for all involved as the owners can submit a team file. I've run leagues without requiring that everyone own the game where I run their team details for them but that won't work well once finances are involved unless I give up my team so there is no conflict of interest.
