Fictional League - Finances and Stats/Strats

I'm trying to create a fictional league with finances from one era but the stats and strategies from another.

Using the League editing features for either finances or stats changes both settings. Am I missing something? Is editing the numbers by hand the only way I can acomplish this?

A little guidance would be most helpful.

One or the other will have to be modified manually, pick your poison.
