Trading as the receiving team
Something really wierd happened last night... not sure if it's been posted, I assume it's a known bug. Forgive me if I don't explain it well.
I have a player I want to trade, and I want to get some offers. So I go into the trade screen and my team is, as normal, on the left-hand side... the computer team I am trading with is the "receiving" team. At some point things got switched around and my team was on the other side (I probably clicked a wrong button or something). I have no problem with being able to put my team over there, that's fine. But I was getting much better offers. The Phillies offered me Alfonso Soriano for Marlon Byrd... they wouldn't do that when I was the receiving team. Isn't that strange? I bet I could get a whole team of all-stars that way! I fixed the mistake and went back to being on the usual side, but I still got a really good trade offer from the Red Sox. |

You don't need a bug in OOTP for lob-sided trades, trust me. heh.
I have to resist making totally one-sided trades even though the AI lets me. |

If you're on the right side, you can pull off pretty much any trade. The computer is trying to maximize value for the team on the right side. It's basically having the computer act as your team and you as the computer's team.

So are the "lob-sided" trades going to be fixed in a patch in the future........cuz it`s a bit unrealistic to say the least ??

I notice you can't change the left side team if you're in Manager Mode. But outside manager mode, simply change the team on the left side to the team you wish to deal with, change the right side to your team, and you'll get much better offers.
There are some times I don't mind taking advantage of exploits. But this one is too egregious.
