My game is locked!

Hello,

My save game seems to be corrupted. When I run iOOTP 2011 I select Continue Game, and whether I select Finish This Week, Resume versus Los Angeles, or Finish Today, the game crashes back to the home screen.

I had been playing through a game (in the 9th inning, I believe), and had to exit the app to answer a phone call or a text or something. Came back to iOOTP later and got these results. I've rebooted, synced, rebooted and cleared the app tray -- always the same result.

I have an iPhone 3GS, 16 GB (1.0 GB free), iOS version 4.3.5 (8L1), with the latest version of iOOTP. I was running a fictional league, and had reached August 9 of my first year.

Is there any way to get back in to my game?

This may sound elementary but I would try turning off the phone and and turning it back on again.

The saved game could be corrupt and might not be accessible. I would recommend starting a new game and testing out the game features to see if the game itself is corrupt or if it is just a saved game that is corrupt.

If it is a corrupt saved game, then the chances to access and play that saved game are slim to none unless someone has a workaround.

It's the save game, not the app. I can start a new game and run it.

I want to manage a team for multiple seasons, though. I also require my phone to function as a multitasking communications device. I don't want to start a new league if it's only going to crash one day when I get a phone call.

I have an iTouch, so I'm not sure how players have managed with incoming calls, etc. So, hopefully, someone with an iPhone can share their experiences. The only issue that I've faced with multitasking is that I've seen corrupt boxscores, but nothing significant as a corrupt saved game.

I would recommend talking to Palli and see if he can access the saved game or help pull an error log or box score to see if he can spot anything.

The save game should not be corrupted as we fixed that problem a long time ago.

Easiest way for me to look at the problem would be to get my hands on the save game files. Would you please contact me at sebastian@ootpdevelopments.com and I will give you instructions to send me the files.
