National Media Contract
Is this setting best at fixed, or based on market size? Which is more realistic? Which is the actual way the MLB works? The default 2011 financial settings have it at "same for every team".

National revenue in real life is split equally between the clubs. So all clubs receive the same amount.
(In 2009, each MLB team received $39.2 million in national revenue, of which $31.6 million came from the national television and radio broadcasting contracts and $7.6 million came from national and international merchandising and international broadcasting. Each club also had to pay $10.2 million in league expenses, of which about half was for the players' pension plan and the other half for league operations and administration such as the Commissioner's Office. The net amount of national revenue per club was thus $29 million.) |
