Trading (active/minors workaround)

If I trade an active-team player for a minor-team player, that minor leaguer gets added to my active roster, and starts drawing the big bucks, and his arbitration meter starts running . . . and then his morale crashes when I move him to the minors.

If I first demote my active league player to the minors and then make the trade, I assume he would appear in my minors roster.

But . . . my question is whether his demotion, and the hit to his morale, lowers his value to the other team, perhaps obviating the trade.

What is your experience with this?

I was wondering the same thing, especially the morale part.

The lower moral will not lower his value for the other team!

I guess it would be better to have new player always be added to the reserve list (but you would need to make a few extra clicks to move major league player up). Ideas?

How about after the trade each player pops up as to where you want to put him. Player one (add to Major) Y:N?

If I remember right, the game always tells you that the player has been placed on you minor league roster, even when he was actually added to your major league roster. It seems like this happens any time you acquire a player and have a major leagues roster spot open.
