Offering Extension, Submit offer grayed out

When I'm negotiating an extension with one of my starting pitchers I meet his demands and no pop up says that my offer is turned down by the owner, yet I still can't submit the offer. I'm assuming this is because I can't afford it? If so, why doesn't the owner stop it instead?

Did you do this first? - press the Meet Demand button and Ask for Response? If so, and submit offer is still grayed out...check how much money you have available for extensions..do you have enough to cover the deal??? If yes, then we have a problem or your not running the latest patch which is 12.3.22 which should have fixed that problem..

Yes, I'm running the latest patch and I followed all those steps. I guess it's just bugged...

Thought I'd take a sec and update my findings on this..I've tried to recreate this supposed bug while testing some other stuff and this worked perfectly for me when submitting offers for both free agents and extensions..
