How screwed am I?

I am in the middle of June in my season, the All-Star BREAK is scheduled for the middle of July, but on the schedule the game is slated to be played on July 4th. Is this going to be an issue, there are other league games being played on that day as well. Am I screwed or is this just a cosmetic issue?

Edited out original post as schedule editing would not be an option.

I used to have this problem on occasion in versions 9 and before. I don't believe I saw it in 10, 11, or now 12(only one preseason so far). I still take the time though, in preseason, to look at my teams July schedule and see if the AS game is setup properly. If not you can make changes during preseason however, once past preseason your schedule is locked and you can't make any changes.

If it's wrong in preseason you can still go to the league setup and make changes to the schedule. I only use a "real MLB" setup so can only help in that regard.

Set your desired opening day.
Click: auto-adjust date if matching xml file is found.
Click: hold AS game
Click: Automatically schedule AS game

Hope that helps.

Wow, do I feel stupid. The schedule editor is not going to let you make any changes since you are in regular season. Depending on how attached you are to the league and what backups you might have you only have two options.

1. restore a backup from preseason and fix the schedule

2. play through as is. This, I think(?), will result in AS game players playing in both games on the same day. Only detrimental effect should be fatigue and that shouldn't be too bad since P's only throw 1 or 2 innings and position players are only going 3 innings tops. What you will see of course is P's will carry their "pitch counts" forward into the week so may be exhausted if they played in both games.

Sorry for the misinformation at the top of this post.

You should still check your schedule during preseason each year to make sure this doesn't happen again as it is fixable at that time.

Because it's just an exhibition, there will not be any conflicts with the league games. I've done this before, and my SS played both in my game and the AS game. Unless things have changed in 12.

Thanks for your response. I made a backup, first and foremost. Then I went to 'edit league schedule' and I deleted the ASG on 7/4. I then went to the league schedule and made sure it was gone. I then exited the game and restarted it and it's no longer there, however under the sim options it still says 'sim until ASG.' My hope is that it's gone and I can move on with my season and it doens't get hung up trying to sim an ASG that's not there.

So, the editor did let you in. I didn't think it would after making my post. Did you try to reschedule it? I'm guessing it won't let you and was why I suggested a backup strategy first as I was also afraid the game might hang if the AS game was there and then wasn't.

You could make another backup and test whether it will let you get by the deleted AS game date, restore and continue if it does.

Or you could go back to your backup and take CHobbe's advice and just play through "as is".

One way or another this shouldn't ruin your league
