How do you manage? Every AB or Inning or Game?

I started playing iOOTP recently and I was wondering how others play their seasons? Do you play a full game managing each at bat or simulate the inning or simulate the entire game? I like the idea of doing at-bat by at-bat management, but the seasons take so much longer and I'm really interested in the offseason stuff. It would be awesome to have a simulate until runner gets on base feature.

I'd like to hear what other people do. How does everybody else play?

Depending on the season and how close the races were, I pick at least two favorite teams and play out all their games and sim the others. I do turn off injuries and transactions so I go for more of an "as played" feel then a "what if" feel.

I will, from time to time, sim a game or two for the teams I am managing just to see how differently the cpu might manage than I do.

I like the GM aspects of the game more than the managing, so I rarely manage games at all. I like to make the lineups and the rotation, so I guess that makes me a pretty overbearing GM, but, hey, it works in my universe!

Imagine, getting to own and manage all those teams for about a $20 investment!

I'm the opposite, I like managing more the GM'ing. I usually check each line-up for my team to make sure everything is fine. Check disabled list and AAA's that might need to fill some gaps. Then I play a game. If nothing big going on, I one pitch. If trying to steal, or squeeze etc., I play each ball. And when nothing is really going on division-wise, I may play just a couple innings, but then 'quick game' to end. I'm about 50-50 for going a full game, or 'quick' the end. I like to get to know how folks are doing in the grit of it all, so when I read the newspaper and see one of my folks getting some creds, I feel good about 'cause I been there with him. But there so many, many ways to do it, you can just play it the way it's best to you. All is good!

I play every inning of every game. I've been doing it since the first OOTP. I love to manage. When it comes to baseball the only thing I've ever really cared about is 9 people playing 9 people for 9 innings. Everything else is almost meaningless to me.
