World Baseball Classic and other international tournaments

The next version of OOTP should add the World Baseball Classic and other international tournaments into the game, such as the Baseball World Cup.

In commish mode a player could assign himself to manage a team, or in other modes he could apply to manage any nation he wished, with the better nations requiring more prestige as a GM to earn the spot.

Also with the evolving rules option, baseball could perhaps be added back in as an event in the Olympics.

This would give us something new and different to do in years with a big international tournament. It could also be a fun way to discover new players that aren't in the major leagues.

I should note that one GM should be able to manage an MLB team and also an international team at the same time. You shouldn't have to leave your MLB job to take over a WBC team, for instance.

quite frankly, i'm somewhat turned off by ootp now for not having any of this features after 12 versions. Disappointing to say the least.

I love the idea of a WBC / World Cup module. This is probably the top of my wishlist.

I would love this feature, I kinda tired of setting up those tournaments by myself...

It would be cool. It's also likely that adding it would make Winter Leagues able to function as they do in real life.

This is the feature that I'd most like to see in OOTP. I skipped buying 12 primarily because none of the new features really jazzed me. Adding the WBC and/or the ability to create & customize international tournaments would definitely get me back into OOTP again.
