One game.. Two clients?
So this is what I want to do, but I'm having problems getting it done. I have OOTP installed in my house on what I call my Fileserver. I also have the computer I actually play my games on. And finally, I remote in to the Fileserver from work. So when I am at home, I'd like to play my OOTP on my gaming computer, but use game files from the fileserver, and when I'm at work, I'd like to log in to the file server and play the same game. Everytime I LOAD A SAVED GAME, it looks for the saved games on the local client, but I want my gaming computer to look to the fileserver. Is that possible?
Thanks Adam |

I'd think it could be done. If you have the file server as a mapped drive on your gaming computer you should just need to go into the preferences section of the game, then click the expert settings tab. Once there click "select" for the custom saved games file path and select the "Drives" button at the top of the window that opens. Pick your file server drive and find the folder where your other version saves its games. That should do the trick, at least I would assume.

I seem to have done it. I created the shared on the fileserver like you said, but I installed the game on the shared and I run the game from the share. At first I got some errors, but I installed the game twice, once for each client. Then when I ran each machine for the first time, I wound up creating two separate leagues. Then I just loaded a saved game and there it was. Now I can play my bball at work and at home. :P
