Setting Lineups

A little help please. For the first time I went in to team management and set lineup versus lefthanders and lineup versus righthanders. I copied and then pasted each lineup. But in my next game the computer puts up a different lineup. I want my lineups I set to be the default each game. Any help would be appreciated.

Was there a DH in effect for that game?

I'm assuming you made sure both of the manager options are set to your control and not CPU control? I've switched those and forgotten about them before and got really frustrated till I realized I'd done it.

don't understand

I do not know what you mean about both options set for me to manage. I manage my team and of course the computer manages my opponnets.
Also..i am not using the DH since it is 1968. I just want to set my team lineups to come up the way I want them every time. thanks.

Make sure 7-day lineups are set to OFF.

Go to Main Menu, Manager Options, and check that the "Setting Lineups/Depth/Pitching Staff" option and the "Roster Moves and Transactions" options are both set to your control and not CPU.

fixed

fixed it I think. some players were set (on the depth chart) to start every second day. That was the problem. thanks everyone. Now if I can figure out a way to get Don McMahon from the White Sox to the Tigers where he is supposed to be.

Just switch your management temporarily from the Tigers to White Sox. You can do so at "Main Menu --> Manager --> Manager Options --> Action --> Manage Different Team". As you are the owner of the White Sox now, you can trade McMahon to the Tigers. Then, switch your management back to the Tigers. You now have McMahon on your Tiger roster.
