Thumbs down Ridiculous Pitch Counts

I must have some setting wrong.

I keep seeing minor league pitchers going 10-12 innings, throwing 150+ pitches.

Absolutely no way in any universe that actually happens.

You guys really need to address how pitchers are handled by the manager AI.

And while you're at it, please tell me why, with bases loaded, and a ground ball is hit to the third baseman he goes to FIRST and not home or third base??

Great game but you need to learn some baseball tactics.

While I agree your first point is an almost unheard-of happening in modern baseball, the second issue, that of a throw to 1st, is not uncommon when the throw can't be made. A deep hit or a slow dribbler could allow the runner to score, particularly with a fast base runner.

Probably should provide more info about some settings if you want some actual help.

i am not in front of my game, but there is an modifier setting, or at least was in ver 11. Each spring i check it to make sure it doesnt change by much. Sorry not more help, but this may be your issue. Pitcher endurance modifier or something, I think i try to leave it at the 1.000, sometimes it gets adjusted by the AI trying to self regulate itself.
All this said, this was the case in ver 11, i didnt hear of them taking this out.
good luck.

Actually, in my universe, I have a guy that can go 150-155 before hitting "tired". I have Stamina on "High".

So yes, there is a way in ONE universe.

As an Observer would say, "there's more than one of everything...."

i think bert blyleven pitched over 200 pitches once. but that was back when pitchers were not babied so much that once they make it to the show, they have to have tommy john after half a season.

League Options>League Setup>Strategy>Starting Pitcher Stamina. I've had this problem before and it was because this modifier was either too high or too low.

Yep..

I had the same issue, this season I did the auto calc on the league modifiers and I'm not seeing it thus far.
