Yet Another Financial Question

I've only played current MLB seasons or historic seasons.

I am looking to set up a fictional league using small, mid-sized markets. I want the avg attendance to be around 15k per game, and was planning on a 75 game season.

What is the best way to figure out what the avg media contract should be? What I should set the player salary levels for?

I was thinking of using a salary cap, but does that just make everything much more complicated?

I appreciate any feedback.

The new financial projection tool should work well for you. With the 75 game schedule, you'll have to do some tinkering to get things working. I'd just pick a year for the salary level you want, then manipulate the revenues around it. Once the tool says things are good, do a long sim and check the results.

With the current budget problems, it's probably best to set the cash max to 0, until the next patch.

Thanks...but where can I find the financial projection tools?

It's on the Financials tab of the League Setup.

Ahhh...found it...thanks....it wasn't available yet because I hadn't run the draft.

Another question...if I use a salary cap...is the cap for the 25 man roster or for the 40 man roster?

40. It's also not a hard cap. Arbitration rulings and adding players to the 40 will allow you to go over the cap.
