Career Stats
How can I see the career stats for players, both active and retired. There are no screens that show this... the All players screen allows you to view stats for just the current season. Maybe this is in the new update? I want to be able to see who the all time leader is in hits, home runs, wins, etc.

I think what he means is it would be nice to see career record holders and other all time stats viewable in one interface. I agree this would be nice. It would however require a lot of memory to store all of that data. Perhaps just the statistical leaders could be tracked, as alot of the fun is chasing down records.

Career stats for player are there (sweep through the player screens or select View in the bottom bar).
The problem with storing stats is indeed memory (or better: the lack of memory). But over time the devices will be much better (right now we try to support devices with just 128MB memory from which we only can use about 20-30 MB). Once we move on we have more opportunities. And we always try to find ways to include stuff even with the limits the hardware gives us.

Sebastian.. and others thank you... I did know about career stats for individual players.. but I meant something different... career leaderboards where I can see players jockeying for places on the key stats.. like HR, Wins, Hits, etc... Is there anyway I can see what rank a particular player is on the career leaderboard.. Now, I get the memory issue.. but here is an idea... I think folks would not be interested in the entire player list... but just the top say 50... so using AB or IP as the 1st order filter... the game can identify the top 50 based on ABs and IPs... (or saves for relievers)... that becomes the frozen list... and then the rest get chopped off.. I assume the memory can handle a top 50 (100 with pitchers) list with career stats... thoughts...
with the game as it is today.. is there anyway i can get access (through iPhone explorer)? |
