Fictional League - inflated stats
Hello everyone. I have searched the forums but haven't been able to find a solution to my "problem"... if my problem could even be considered one.
I started a fictional league and simulated from 1920 to 2005 with no feeder leagues. This was going to take about 4 days (computer outdated)... so I decided to sim over my summer vacation. When i returned from vacation the sim was completed but noticed the stats around from the early 1990's to 2005 were inflated for offense. I am talking about 150-200 hr season for a single player not uncommon.
While this is interesting and very intriguing to continue from these trends, I wanted to insert feeder leauges then sim the remaining 5 years to 2010 before taking over. However, when I continued the sim from 2005 to 2010 with feeder leagues, offensive numbers returned to "normal" late 2000's numbers (i.e. 40-50 hr max single season marks).
In the league options, I had all boxes checked in regards to update current offensive trends to historical numbers based on year that is being simulated (can't remember the exact name of the option and away from the game).
I thought this was kinda cool when I first looked over the simulated historical numbers, but continuing with simming the rest of the years made me believe this was a bug and taking over at this point would be a mess.
Should I roll with it? Is it a "bug"? Maybe I had an option checked/unchecked? And my biggest question would be is there an easy "fix" to this without having to sim another 4 days to get a large history?
Thanks!
