Dumping salary question

All,

If you have a high priced vet, what is the best way to shop him around?

I know you can put him up for trade and see what offers you get but that doesn't work for draft picks.

I would like to look at one screen and see what team could afford him. I saw the financial screen and I know I can go team by team but is there an easier way?

Also, can someone explain what I am looking for on the financial screen? Am I look for budget, FA money, etc?

Thx

General Info
Projected Balance - projected end of year???

Current Financial Overview
Cash
Balance - Use this number to know which team can take on a player?

Thx

Yeah use the balance number. Also if no team, that can take his salary, will take him you might have to trade so prospects to convince the team.

Current balance, since that is how much they have right now.

I use the Financial Report under the league menu, then look at Payroll (top left) vs Budget (bottom right) and look for teams with a big gap.

(These are both top left on the team finance screen, but using the report you can compare a lot of teams quickly).

Ok, I found a player on my team making $7 million a year and I look for teams that have a current budget of over $7 million to try and trade for a draft pick.

When I initiate the trade, it says they cannot make the trade as it will put them below $0 but the current budget page says they are around $10 million.

What am I missing? Is that current budget page not current since the season started?

Thx
