historical player import crash

i submitted a ticket, but maybe someone here can give some insight to this. i have an imported game from 11 to 12. when i try to import historical players into the free agent screen, the game crashes. i have tried using different players, different settings, and different import years. and every time i get a crash. i tried redownloading the lahman database and all that did was create a failed import error. however i moved the .odb files back into the stats folder, and it still crashes. i have tried using the master.csv which you used to use to import from, and historical_database.odb per the importing instructions. i'm am at a loss here. i'd hate to lose a my game after 39 seasons.

Are you using the default DB for OOTP12 because the OOTP11 one won't work? Make sure your pointing to the right database.

not to be a jerk, but why would i be using 11's db's i'm playing on 12 now. i just updated to 12.1.10 and it still crashes when i try and import players from the historical

Well, I don't know how your league was created and what steps you took

It imported from OOTP11? If so I don't know if the game automatically updates the database directory to direct it towards OOTP12s.

Were you using a custom database? If so then I don't know if your still wanting to use the custom databases from last year.

Or even if you changed the database out of habit you may have directed toward OOTP11 out of habit.

I figured any answer may get you towards your goal.

i see. i started the league back before ootp included the db's but i used the dbs from the default stats folder when importing players in 11. and i did the same in 12. what really grinds my gears is that i think the only way to "fix it" is to re-import the game from 11 for a 7th time, because it worked fine when people were from detroit, [insert random european city here]. back to the drawing board i guess...
