Organizations - How & Why?
Hey Guys,
I'm not getting the reason or correct useage of the ORGANIZATIONS. What is the purpose or proper use of them? Everyone of my guys seems to show up in whichever are active. Also, is anyone interested in the attached? Thanks. JP

You can create a new organization if you want to and you can group fighters into different organizations if you wish with the mass edit feature.
Why would be if you wanted a specific group only fighting each other and were using the auto scheduler. Or just to make it easier for manual scheduling.

Ok it's like this. You know how there are different titles...the WBA, WBC, etc. These are organizations that consider themselves the governing bodies of boxing. They sanction bouts, etc.
In my universe that I have on hold right now (until I finish my tournament) I have regional governing bodies and one major governing body, so have the fighters in groups for the region they reside in. This allows me to have regional champions as well as eventually a world champion. This is a very basic setup, you can go further if you wish, setting up state groups, etc if you enjoy micro-managing your uni. Hope this helps answer your questions. |

In my universe I have the following:
Organizations: WBC (all the fighters) NABF (North American Boxing Federation) US/Canada/Caribbean and Mexico Boxing USA (all the US fighters ) a sub organization under the NABF SAU (South American Union) guess! EBU European Boxing Union (most of Europe) Commonwealth UK and the Commonwealth (Canada, Australia, etc.) ABF (African Boxing Federation) AsPac (Asia-Pacific) which I break down into to other sub-organizations Asia and Pacific. When you click that a fight is a title bout you pick organization for the title that is on the line and the game keeps a record of past and current champs. Groups The use of groups is used to put fighters in their group by for the above. So I create a group called NABF and mass edit all of the folks in that organization. Next I take all the USA guys and put them in B-USA. And continue in that way until all the fighters are assigned to one or more groups. I use groups to sort things out in the auto-scheduler. So, tonight I might have the B-USA fight, the EBU as a group fights, ABF, etc. So for groups take George Chuvalo of Canada, his group major organization/group is Commonwealth and NABF I have found that there is a max of 48 organizations the game will track. I found this out as titles were added for each country and I found that over 48 an organization would disappear. It seems a little complicated at first but after one or two fail uni’s I got the hang of it, plus I found a spreadsheet to track the fighters. I have attached it. It includes other sub regions. I quit tracking national belts except the US, it was making me crazy. Also somewhere in the forum there are instruction about setting up a uni. If I find the copy I saved I will post it.

Infinity & Rotorhead,
Thank you for your help. I think I have a better understanding of it all now. I will try to alter my uni with some of the suggestions and see how I fare. Also, what did you guys think of my attachments above? Thanks again. JP

For those using the RFG to create fighters those could be useful. Were they randomly computer generated? or your own artwork?

You're gonna crap bricks if you saw how many belts I have. I think I have around 17 organizations. (Hey I tried to keep it as realistic as possible)
