Tough one. Of course it's the best out there, so in that respect, it deserves a 10.

Improvements from 11-12 however, I'm holding off on rating until This game is fully patched. Hoping that rating goes up considerably.

Rate OOTP12 as compared to:

1) Entire universe of entertainment options?
2) Entire universe of games?
3) All baseball simulations ever made?
4) All versions of OOTP?

It makes a huge difference in the score I give.

maybe im missing some huge improvement that everyone else sees!?

I'm sure that the game will improve after a patch or two but right now the terrible roster set, no improvements to draft class creation, no improvement in the AI drafting in inaugural fictional drafts, some tinkering with the financial side (but not anywhere near an true overhaul), and a bunch of mainly cosmetic improvements is pretty much it.

still a great game, and will be vastly improved by a good roster set, but initial impression is that both 10 and 11 were far bigger steps forward for the series.

As for the moment ... OOTP 12 is the best in OOTP history, by far ... even though I am getting my feet wet, the Game size still overwhelm me ... there are so much info, so many ways to create, so many MODS to enhance your Assn, so many supporters but - the immersion factor is really deep ...

Once you get passed the complexity of creating your league, it isn't too bad understanding the game. You can do it.
Just take it one thing at a time.

To early for me. I've only played a couple of games and the crowd audio timing is messed up. Do like some of the new features though.

It's a good game. It's not perfect yet, but it's getting there.

And it's still ressource hungry. The team logos are too small. (pet peeve , I know) And a league in Uganda shouldn't be able to churn out MLB all-star level guys like this.

But to be fair, the perfect game doesn't exist.

Ans there's still no league associations, or customisable playoffs.

But i bought it and I was giddy with excitement last week when it went out.

8/10

I gave it a 10 because I am easy to please... plus I was sitting at work thinking about my pitching rotation and what I was going to do about a shortstop. So I took six hours off and ran home to play. I wouldn't do that for something I would rate lower than a nine.

By default, any league set anywhere will create players the same as any other league. This is as it should be.

If your league in Uganda is the only league you have, you don't want the players being subpar....

On the other hand, if your league in Uganda is a supplementary league and you WANT the players to be subpar, all you have to do is lower the Player Creation Modifiers.

I'm coming at this for the first time since version 6 so its like playing a totally different game. A solid 8 at least becaue I've only scratched the surface of what you can do. I can't believe theres a 1 and a 3 rating up there, unless its just for causing mischief, I'd like to see those peoples rationale if they are serious ratings

I'll give it an "8" or maybe a little better.

Once they get the bugs worked out, I'd probably up that to a "9" or better.

It's a very good game, though. Lots of fun.
