Stadium Background
Does anybody know if there is a way to get the real stadiums for a background in the game? Everything with this is cool, but seriously why only Citizens Bank Park? This seems like a basic feature that should be included.

OK, I see that there's some links, but I'm new to this, I have no idea what to do with them. All I see is an Excel spreadsheet with a bunch of information. I was wondering in the first place if there's a way to make the picture background during games the stadium the game is actually being played in rather than always being Citizens Bank Park?
Help! Thanks

On Padresfan mod site click on OOTP and go to Ballparks.
Here you should see the list of links you were referring to. There are a lot of different ballpark mods people create so you may need to download several to find the ones you like best. I found the Ballpark images from MLB 10: The Show posted by DesertFox (4th one down) pretty good. These are pics from a different computer game though. If you want actual pictures of the stadiums some of the other downloadable files have those. I would pick a few and see what you like. Save the ballparks into the default ballparks folder under your OOTP12 default folders. You'll have to unzip them in there as well I guess. Then go into your OOTP game and go under your team and there will be a link under the teams HOME page that takes you to where you can edit your teams logo/jersies/colors. I'm not on a computer with my game so I'm not sure exactly what its called...Anyways you want to get to the screen where you can Edit your Ballpark. There should be a button at the button of the page that says EDIT BALLPARK. Once you click that button you'll see a tab at the top of that page that says PICTURE or something to that nature. It should be the 2nd tab at the top. Click on that tab and you'll see two lines where you can change the picture associated with your ballpark - one for day games, one for night games. Click on the link next to the picture and find where you saved your ballpark files and pick the one you want. Then it will change it on the picture to the right to the file you selected. There's a drop down list at the top of that page if you want to see what the night version of your stadium will look like. Hope this helps. Sorry I am not at home so I can't provide the exact link/button names or screen shots. |

Pretty sure you need to be in commisioner mode to edit the ballpark pictures.
I always get there from: $ icon on bottom edit financials edit ballparks There may well be a quicker way. You essentially need to reassign the picture for both day and night games. You can change the location of the player icons on the field by dragging them around. If you do so, you need to change both the day and night field. There is a dropdown to swap over to the right and another helpful thing you can copy positions on one field and paste to the other if you poke around the commands a bit. |

Hi Erik and Bahgoon,
I am having a similar problem. I am able to do everything you suggest and it works fine, but the ball locations are screwed up. So, in other words, when playing out the games, the fence distances appear right at about shortstop and the balls hit are obviously misaligned. I can go to the page to edit these on every ball park but it would be very time consuming and lacking precision. Any quick fixes? Thanks in advance. |

I play my games out on super fast pbp mode so I don't normally see the ball tracker. I don't know an easy way to fix this, sorry.

Help with parks.DAT file
I have downloaded Padrasfan 2010 MLB -classic and fictional ballpark images and installed according to the instructions. But OOTP12 seems to be unbable to access the dat file that came with the dounload the message I keep getting says that it is looking for prk files in the import folder. Does any one know how to make the dat file work.

I just imported an OOTP 11 franchise into OOTP 12. All my mods (player faces, logos, etc.) seemed to transfer over except the ballparks. I went to play my first Spring Training Game and all I get is a blank grey playing field on it.
I'm a little lost as to what to do as I can't seem to locate any OOTP Baseball 12 folder. All I can find is my old OOTP 11 one. |

IIRC, it can cause issues if you sim without switching back to "your" GM, although, I've done it a few times accidentally without problems. |

On my setup there is a series of four icons to the bottom left that handle manager short-cuts. The little wrench like icon should get you to the options screen. |
