Importing just 60 historical players into a 2011 season?
Hi, I want to import just 60 historical allstars into a 2011 season so each team can have two of those players.
- I can't find a way to select just the 60 players (I have them on my shortlist) and export just them. Does anyone know a way to do this? - If it's possible to export them to a .csv, do I just import the file into the 2011 season and the players imported are free agents? I've searched through the forums and can't find that exact scenario Any help would be appreciated. thx |

If I remember right you want to be setup as commisioner in your league. Go to the free agent screen and at the bottom right I think there is an option to import historical free agent. It is going to ask you the player id (back to that in a second) and the year.
To find your player id go to the data/stats folder and open up the master.csv file. Find your player and use his playerid. For example Don Mattingly is mattido01. Another quick way to find this is go to baseball-reference.com and go to your player. Look at the address bar and it should the playerid at the end. For most of the historical guys this will be the same but may get hinky with guys like Joe Morgan, Ken Griffey, etc where two guys have the same 1st 5 of their last name and 2 of their first.
