Cannot activate :(

When I paste my serial into the license key field, I always get a network manager window saying "Could not connect to network..." There's an option to retry, which gives me the same window after a few seconds, and the option to cancel.

Cancelling opens a product activation window. Here I have the option to "activate using a web browser", "activate using a different computer", and "I already have an activation key and want to use it now".

This activation key is apparently given to me by eseller, but I can't seem to get it. Going to their website, they ask for an "installation ID" which they say is supplied by the software I'm activating. The only code I got from you guys was the serial, so I put that in, but then the website says invalid activation ID (even when they had asked for the installation ID)

I have no idea what to do :/

Manual activation solved my problem! Very easy and quick. In case anyone else suffers from the same:

The cut-and-paste method sometimes includes an extra space. Delete that extra space, if you see one. Other than that, I don't know what to tell you. Hopefully, someone else can help.

That and make sure your firewall isn't blocking and make sure internet is on.

Check for leading and trailing spaces too!!!!

The most common problem people have had has been because of the license servers from esellerate not responding in a timely fashion. Basically, I've had people tell me in tech support that they tried literally dozens of times before success. Just in case persistence doesn't help, you should check out this article: Activation Problems

If you still can't get it to work, you might want to try activating late at night when fewer people will be trying to activate or you can contact us in tech support - see my sig.

This may not be your prob but it was mine. I had tried to license about 7 times and it didnt work. finally i wised up and ran the game in admin. mode and it worked

im in admin mode.. keeps telling me "The game cannot be activated. Please try again in a few minutes." Ive done this about 50 times already in the past hour.

That was happening to me too. I was right clicking on my task bar icon. I tried going to Windows Menu, all programs, OOTPDevelopments until I got to the icon there for starting OOTP. I right clicked on that one and it worked first try.

Don't ask me why it worked on one and not the other, they're both shortcuts, so that wouldn't be why.

It's all good now anyway.
