Injuries

I'm in my first season, I'm using the 2011 Mets, and there are an extreme number of injuries. Injury frequency was at normal then I switched it to low and I'm still getting a ton of injuries. I'm just curious if this is just bad luck for my team or if others are having a similar issue?

Thanks

Bad luck.

We get these posts every year... injuries on average actually appear LESS than in real life!

I kind of felt the same way the other year until a poster pointed out that most of us typically don't follow all the injuries in real baseball other than the top names (and there are enough of those), so when playing as GM, etc in OOTP the sheer number of injuries can seem out-of-whack, but they really are indicative of MLB and all the minors.

Did you guys know that the Cubs number 4 and 5 starters went out in the same week in real life this year? Our 4 starter, Randy Wells was back after 2 months but our 5 starter may not be back until August. Real life injuries suck!

It just seemed like a lot. I was only in July and 7 of my starting 8 players had hit the DL at least once and at least 5 SP's hit the DL. Only my catchers and bullpen stayed healthy.

It may just be the Mets are completely jinxed

Seeing SP on the DL suggests the injury model is vastly improved.

The Mets do seem to have a dark cloud over them.
