Updated Major League quickstart available!

Hey guys,

we have worked all day to fix and tweak the major league quickstart, you can download the files here:

Updated Major League Quickstart Data Files

To install, please unzip the files into the Majors.quick folder , which you will most likely find here.
PC: "My Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP 12\quickstart_games\Majors.quick"
Mac: "user/Library/Application Support/Out of the Park Developments/OOTP Baseball 12/quickstart_games/Majors.quick "
Linux: I have no idea to be honest

Then create a new major league game from within OOTP. There is unfortunately no way to apply the changes to an already existing saved game.

This has been fixed:
- Coaches have now proper salaries
- Fixed crash when going to the coach search / shortlist
- Fixed some player contracts
- Fixed many player rating conversion problems
- Fine-tuned ratings of some players
- Fine-tuned team finances

Please keep in mind that it is basically impossible to have all rosters perfect. There is no way to 'force' the AI to put a player in a certain minor league level or roster spot. It all depends on the player ratings and how they relate to each other. Also, this is an Opening Day set, so the ratings are based on projections for the season and not upon real 2011 performance so far. That is intentional!

There are still contracts that are messed up, such as carlos silva. Not to sound all high and mighty but maybe who ever is doing the rosters could take a look at my roster set and merge the contracts of players. Or I could do it if there won't be another update.

What's wrong with Silva's contract? Looks good to me...

He was release by the cubs on 3/27/11. Opening day was 3/31/11. He didn't sign with the yanks till after opening day and when he did sign with them it was a minor league contract.

I am stuck at work until 11 pm (est), loving the new update because the Phillies did have a couple of question marks (Ryan Howard's contract extension wasn't applied, etc). Did they fix Domonic Brown (who, in the scouting report was a "destined minor league hitter")? If anyone can quickly check that for me, that would be great! If not, I will see around midnight when I download this quick start update and play until 6 am!

My scout says Brown is a "future Hall of Famer". As for Howard, well, I barfed when I looked at his contract status... so that means his extension is in.

Yes. My draft class has more American names and less Spanish names.
