How do you fire an owner in OOTP12 official online leagues?

So with the new OOTP online league directory, it now has a place to list how many openings are in a league plus allot a user to apply to join the league (only if that league has an opening).

The problem I am encountering is if a league is full, but then I fire a manager, it still shows as 0 available spots. Is there a new process to firing a manager for online leagues? The way it was done in OOTP11 was to go to human manager status screen and click the resign GM button. Doing so now in ootp12 frees that team up, but does not seem to update the Online league directory.

My question I suppose is how do you do that part? So you can then have it list an opening for a league when there was previously none?

Thanks!

Edit:

I found the answer myself, posted below but also quoting it here in case others have this same problem later on:

So to answer in case someone else comes along with the same problem:

Once you fire a player, you have to go into your league setup -> online options -> Online League FUnctions

Hit the button 'Update league data on server'

That then updates the online directory for your league.

This button does not appear anywhere in the Commish Portal as far as i can tell, so you have to dig a good bit for it.

Does it have to be a v12 league to be involved in this process? If so, you already have transfered a league to v12?

Yes, this is a v12 test league. It was set up as an official league, and is in the ootp official league directory listing 0 available teams. I then in game had a GM resign, which should open up a team. I uploaded a new File (simming forward 0 days), uploaded web reports. Tried saving the game, closing ootp12, re-opened ootp12. I verified in the league file that there is an open team, yet the online directory still shows 0 available teams and does not let anyone else join the league.

So my question is what step am I missing here? In addition to resigning that GM, something else has to be done to update the directory, but what? I haven't found any buttons anywhere that seem to be for that purpose either.

Well, ideally no one would ever leave one of my leagues. Just in the very rare case that it did happen one day though I would like the ability to fill that open spot is all (well obviously I could fill it the old ootp11 way, but I mean using the new fancy doo-dads)

It needs to be in the Commish Portal, don't you think?

I would think so. I know personally i do 90% of my stuff from the commish portal. I wouldn't think it ideal to have to jump into the setup configuration area for commish activities.
