Activation Issues??

If there is an issue with activations I would like to know.

You know you would think after 27 tries it would work once by accident at least. After all these years of being in business you would think this stuff would actually work on release day. Sorry if I sound aggravated, but I am.

I had to try it 15 times but it did activate. It would be nice if the message said that the activation failed because the server was busy as opposed to some other type of error but like Markus said. keep trying it'll work eventually.

Keep trying or wait a few hours for things to settle down. . .

If I wanted to wait a few hours I wouldn't have pre-ordered.

Try restarting the game.

By the way, this is not our fault. We rely on eSellerate, which is one of the biggest electronic license providers around. But even they seem to run into trouble when several thousand people try to activate the game. Nothing we can do.

I posted this is another thread so I apologize for double posting but hopefully this can help somebody.

I stubbornly made sure there was no space after the serial number but did not check to make sure there was no space before the "O" in OOTP. There was, and once I deleted that space, it activated on my first try.

I hope this helps a couple of you.

For those having trouble activating. I finally gave up and just for giggles I tried the manual activation (for those without internet connection). It actually worked. So for anyone having trouble give it a shot.

I had to reboot my pc, and then it worked first try. Before that I was getting activation error
