Where stats come from?

Just a clarification question, seeing all the new seasons, that likely will be available in 1.1.0: For example, one of the Cinderella seasons will be the '69 Mets. Will the stats be the '69 Mets or will they be from the '68 season? I noticed that the '65 season is actually the '64 stats. Nothing wrong with that. I have an as-played 'bias' since, when I play Strat, I am replaying that season with actual game lineups. Please don't throw me off the board for asking the question. The strat forum doesn' take kindly to mentions of other products, but I needed to mention them so you can understand my question.
