Just when I thought about waiting...

I have been playing this amazing game since version 6-6.5 and now that I have OOPT 11 I thought how could Markus and the boys make any better of a game. I think I will just wait awhile before getting OOPT 12. Then I saw the news letter that said one of the new options is saving a game in progress. My prayers have been answered. I am getting married in two weeks, so fitting in a whole game in has been challenging to say the least, as I play out the entire game. I think I just found my wedding gift to myself! The new golf putter can wait!

Wink 1 serious question 1 not so much

Thank you for the update Markus. It looks great. Two quick Questions

1 on the off season screen are the teams listed teams that are making offers or teams the player would be more likely to want to sign with?

2 Any chance of getting the release date moved up to 6/19 for Father's Day in the U.S.?

what the heck sounds like a good reason to get it a day early.

Thanks for the info. If you can offer any other details on the enhanced world database, I'd appreciate it

I'm very excited about vesting options and the other negotiation improvements. That will be very helpful when dealing with older veterans.

I have to study it more but from a quick look at the screenshot example, it does look better arranged and easier to follow. Do this: Start up OOTP 11 and look at that financials page side-by-side with the new screenie. I think I'm going to be pleased with this in OOTP 12.

Appreciate the update Markus.

And I really appreciate the 'save game in progress' feature.

I was wondering if there would be any chance when playing an 'exhibition' game that the pitcher's stamina would not be affected when you go back into the league play. I have enjoyed at times using OOTP to just replay a game or two in exhibition mode when something special hits me. An example would be when Ron Santo passed away this year. I went into one of his special games and setup as best I could an exhibition game duplicating a key game in his life.

Sometimes I like to replay...when I'm in the mood...just a key single playoff or World Series game from real life. Now that we can save a game in progress I would think I would be doing this more often. However, the bummer is that when you play an exhibition game the pitch count tiredness from that game is applied to the pitcher in the regular league that he is in. Would be neat if you could go in and adjust those back to what they were before the exhibition game.

Sorry if I didn't make this clear. Look forward to OOTP 12.

Workaround until this can be changed (if it ever is): Back up before playing the exhibition.

Markus,

I know this has been asked before, but is there a preferred time to import your ootp 11 universe into ootp 12?

Looks good. I was so excited to see that newsletter in my queue. I hoping that the commissioner for leagues will be be easier to set-up and do.

Thanks for putting these out. Look great!

[tongueincheek] after OOTP 12 is released ! [/tongueincheek]

People tend to say to do it during the offseason (at the point it becomes pre-season) but I've not had issues doing it on May 5th (for example)

I've purchased every version since Season Ticket (OOTP 4), and this is the most exciting feature update list I remember seeing. I can't wait til the 20th. Thanks Markus and crew!

Offseason. Always. No matter what version.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

You can import at any time. Off season, pre season, during season.

Main thing is, always make a back-up before importing, then if problems arise you have something to fall back on.
