Any Perfect Games yet?

Bartolo Colon just threw a 3-walk no-hitter for me, facing 29 batters (Carl Crawford thrown out stealing). It seems like other players must have had no-nos by now, but what about perfection? A lot of folks have Strasburg. What's his best performance?

That's what you guys should have had was a little contest like what 2K sports had. First person to show credible proof of a perfect game wins something...like a IPad or something.

Koufax

Sandy Koufax with the 65 Dodgers threw a 1 hitter for me against Philadelphia. The sad thing was that the only hit he gave up was to the opposing pitcher, Chris Short. Amazing and Sad!

except all you have to do is sim a season and then look back to see if there are any perfect games

strasburg has had a couple perfect games for me. ootp is one of the few baseball games where fielding is actually important

That's why I said credible proof, and a rule could be that the game has to be played out,not simmed and such proof of the game being played out must be shown.

ahh, that makes more sense.

my mistake, i thought you meant that a screenshot of a news screen would work as proof

Well you would need the news screen with the pitchers stats for the game and all too,but not just that alone.

If you complete the perfect game, I'm sure the game would say something along the lines of 'OH MY ****ING GOD *insert player name* HAS PITCHED A PERFECT GAME AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH' so having a screenshot of that would probably suffice.

The end-of-game text was in ALLCAPS for the no-hitter

I played out a perfect game in a fictional league. Wish I had thought to screencap it. There were definitely a lot of caps and exclamation points. There was also a typo, as my guy was carried off the field and 'waived' to the fans.

Perhaps that's proof enough.

Nice!

I want to add Achievements to iOOTP someday and a Perfect Game would be one.

Had my closest ever (iOOTP or OOTP), one hit, no walks and the only base runner out on a double play, so 27 up 27 down but not quite the perfect game.

Koufax close again

As I have indicated in another thread, Koufax just lost a perfect game against the 65 Cardinals by giving up a 9th inning double to Bob Uecker. Finished with a one hitter. Can you imagine....Bob Uecker.

I don't think Ive ever had a perfect game. My starters tend to walk too many guys. I'm trying to get a 20+ strikeout performance, but the closest I've gotten is 14K.
