Oakland Open in NOBL
The Oakland Athletics need a GM. We lost a very good GM (Chris, we're gonna miss ya), but he does leave behind a team brimming with young talent. This team has gone through a year of MAJOR rebuilding. All of the ML talent was traded for minor league prospects. Oakland has the #5 rated minor league system in the league, including #1 3B Spencer Antunez, #14 SP Roy Hobbes, #20 SP Luke Tussey, #40 SP Otis Limones, and #90 SP Juan Ascencio. Two or three of those should be ready for the ML squad this year.
We are currently in Day 5 of free agent signing. Oakland has over $50,000,000 to spend and has the top offer on 7 quality free agents. The NOBL is a 20-team, fictional league. We sim 3 games per day, 6 days per week. We just finished our 3rd season, and have had a different champion each season (DET, FLA, NYA). We are a somewhat older crowd, and I will be "interviewing" for the Oakland position. I'd love to have an energetic owner take over (but wouldn't we all). Check out the rules off the main page and see if it is something you'd like to participate in. NOBL main page- http://www.nobl.net/ NOBL game-generated pages- http://www.nobl.net/nobl/index.html

I would just like to say that the NOBL is a great league, and in terms of fictional leagues probably one of the best around.
Come check it out

I guess it's best that he decided now instead of after taking over the team, huh?

Red Blow, I think I'm interested in the team - I've sent you an email about it, so just let me know.

The A's are a bit rough, as they are in rebuild mode, but they have a talented group of amateurs. You wont be disappointed joining this league as it has one of the most active GM groups you will see.

I am your man! This looks like exactly the type of challenge that I was looking for, in exactly the type of league I was looking for.
I play in only one league at a time and have just left a very good competitive league (http://nahhbl.ootp-leagues.com/). I was the A's in that league too. Hope to hear from you soon... |
