Here's the bottom line to me...

Every requested feature that benefits those who want women in OOTP also has benefits for the rest of us.

For example, I'd like to have more control over the faces created in Facegen, including being able to add hair/suits/accessories/etc. By adding an in-game player editor (which probably ultimately means Markus buying the FG license), not only will I gain the ability to tweak my players' appearances, those who want female players can create them, as well.

I also want to be able to have women's names used in storylines. Adding a female first names file (which, as I've previously stated, already exists) would allow this, as well as the creation of female players.

Having separate, interchangeable text/pbp files would allow - as mentioned above - different languages to be used in the game (which I feel is a very important step in expanding the global appeal of OOTP.)

In other words, everything needed for women's leagues would enhance the enjoyment of real-world (i.e. male-only and human-only) leagues as well!

Of course, some people - make that ONE person - probably has a problem with that, since it would encourage "abuse" by "geeks", or as the rest of us would call it, "thinking outside the box" by "free-spirited, creative-minded non-conformists".

For all of you late hitters piling on after the play is over, the issue's been settled. If you like this (bad) idea so much and so publicly, put your money and your effort where your mouths were and go help Cry and Cooley mod it up.

According to OOTP itself, OOTP MLB play (modern and historical) outnumbers OOTP fictional play three to one.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

Not only was a dead horse beaten, glue was made. Closing.
