sinker ball pitchers
I'm curious to see if anyone has noticed this or maybe someone in the know can shed some light on this.
It seems to be general baseball wisdom that sinker ball pitchers pitxh better when the arm is a bit tired. A long layoff seems to lead to having an arm thats too fresh and pitches are harder and stay up in the zone to get clobbered. Anyone notice this in OOTP. I play out my games and have noticed that my #2 pitcher who is a sinker baller pitches better on when his rest number is in the green (rested but not 100%) but much worse when he's in the blue (100% rested). Is this something that im thinking im seeing or is OOTP actually designed with that sort of conventional baseball wisdom in mind. Or am i just crazy? Thoughts? |

RL vs OOTP life are 2 different things.. I have 2 sinker ball pitchers on 1 of my teams and I try not to ever throw them when they r much under 100%...but your theory is correct.

I would be surprised if OOTP was programmed to make sinker ball pitchers pitch worse on more rest. I would guess it's just coincidence and a bit of confirmation bias on your part, but I could be wrong.
