I know chicagofan would love to have Rachel Phelps as an owner in one of his universes.

You are right that facegen was ugly. Looks like Chipper Jones with a wig. Just wanted to show some possibilities with facegen and show it is not impossible. Not sure how it came about as another guy in our league came up with it.

I see this topic come up from time to time and quite honestly I have to laugh. This a fringe topic right up there with asking Markus to model a Hobbit league. "Frodo swings and there's a drive to deep left center! Back! Back! It might be! It could be! Ohhhhh, Samwise Gamgee snags it in the webbing of is left foot!!!! How about that, folks! You don't see that every day!"

Not really, since women really exist and hobbits don't. No-one has ever ever asked for hobbit leagues (not in a serious way anyway).

Yet again, I must reiterate that I don't care about women playing in OOTP. However, some of the features I do want to see added would also happen to allow the creation of female players. First of all, I'd like to see Markus eventually purchase the Facegen license so that an in-game player editor can be implemented. This would allow the user to manually tweak the faces that are generated. It would also allow for longer hair and different accessories to be shown. Furthermore, with an integrated player editor, it should be easy to set up a pre-configured option to create female faces, just like it currently is for varying ethnicities. Secondly, there is already a female first names file left over from when OOTP had the infamous "wives and girlfriends" option in it. We're already planning on recycling this database for use with storylines. So the file already exists. It's just a matter of using it to generate player names. Finally, there are the text files. This would probably be the most complicated aspect of having women in the game. It would probably preclude the creation of co-ed leagues or maybe even mixed-league universes. However, if one has the option to select either male or female players at league setup, it would probably work rather easily. (Sorry I keep jumping back in and prolonging this thread, but it just really ticks me off that there are people who are so vehemently opposed to those who favor it. And now that some have resorted to name-calling to drive home their point, I feel like the gauntlet has been thrown down! But don't worry, I'm focusing most of my attention on beta now, so I doubt I'll be wasting too much more time on this topic.)

I feel I've made reasonable arguments why I am against women being added. I've also made suggestions that would simplify the process of adding women for the mod community. This suggestion would not only help out in adding women but could be used for any type of modded league. And yet I've been told the only reason one could possibly oppose adding women is because they are blatantly sexist. Maybe it's just me but for some reason that really ticks me off. |

Get over it. It's far less than PSU and Wolf have gone on about. |

As far as Wolf and PSU if someone doesn't like them than single them out. Please don't lump everyone together. |

Ok, I just took a gaze at the thread and at one point the discussion/argument had a direction. If that's gone can you just let it die rather than sit here and snipe at one another with some false sense of superiority?

It was always ridiculous and not constructive. It's a thread that never should have been started.

I find the problem really isn't the thread, just the people who have taken part in it.

Why? The point of a discussion board is to discuss things. Just because some people find them ridiculous doesn't mean they shouldn't be discussed.
