Thanks. I love the presentation of your uni.

I never knew you could do that with the game. Pretty ingenious, I have to say.

The Glasgow...Sporting Edition

Hello Chris,

Hope the past year has been well for. Got a question. What do you use to create the Glasgow Sporting Edition to then post here?

Thanks

Rocco

I have the same question. It's a great layout and I'd like to be able to create a running page like that in my universe.

It's also really cool how you do the fights beyond 15 rounds.

Thanks.

It's nothing too high-tech.

I use MS Word 2007.

Selected a background color

Use the Header feature

Type the doc, insert pics where desired.

Go to full page view

Use the screen capture feature in Irfanview (a program free to download)

Crop and save as a png file

I have my own site that I upload them to so I can link them here but there are a ton of free ways to host pics and files.

Here is the template (Word '07) that I use (had to save as an old word doc as this board still doesn't allow W07 files):

Edit: It looks like having to save it as an older version of word nixed all the fonts. If someone is really interested, just PM me with an email address and I'll shoot you a Word 2007 version of the template. It isn't much to look at though.

Thanks for sharing the pointers Chris. Doesn't sound as hard as I thought. So, it's that png file you've created from the screen capture that you're actually posting on the forum here?

It's been about a year since I did anything with this. The web-based editor that I was using for my site became unusable wich sort of got me turned away from it.

I now have a new editor that I will be using but I have to finish re-building. So, presently, the site will be static. I hope to finish the re-build over the next month.

Me too, this is a fun way to kill time when I have time to kill (never as often as I'd like!)

The availability of new fighters is in a five year lull so bringing him back seemed like fun and it worked out better than I would have thought.

ugh - lots of spelling mistakes this time. I am rushing to head to a game. Oh well, papers back then often spelled things how they saw fit anyway.
