Trading more than 3-for3

I know that the window only holds three players per side, but it appears that the game will allow additional players to be added beyond that (and I thought that it wasn't supposed to). The additional players are listed in the trade description further down that window. Is this a bug or expected behavior? Thanks!

I don't know if it's a bug, but I can confirm it works. I traded 4-1.

The only way I can ever get this to happen is with the "Make This Trade Work" button, and adding one or more players that appear on that list. I can't get it to work for getting more than three players back from your trading counterpart.
