Can you join an online league with the Viva Media version of OOTP11?

I have purchased a Viva Media version of OOTP11 Deluxe at Microcenter, and I have upgraded to the most current patch from the Viva Media site. Can I participate in an online version of OOTP11 with other players who have the OOTPDev version of the game (as compared to my Viva Media version?)

And as a side note, can a few people give me a boring description of thier day to day activities while in an Online League? I am interested in what time of the day you download the league files, how long you spend on file transfer, how much time you spend on roster manipulation, how long to upload, etc.

Do you replay the games or just view box scores, etc.

2. Nothing boring, at least not for me. I enjoy online leagues. Time of day depends on what time of day sims are run, and you'll find a wide variety of sim times. File transfer doesn't take very long, a couple minutes to download the update and a couple seconds to upload you export. Roster manipulation, that will also vary widely. Some guys like to spend a lot of time, others just do minor adjustments.

Bottom line, how much time you spend is entirely up to you. Spending longer doesn't necessarily mean you'll do better, the same as spending less doesn't mean you'll do worse.

I believe the answer to #1 is yes. You have the ability to load games in the saved_games folder so as long as you have internet access you should be good to go.

I am curious to know if there are any estimates on how many players are in online leagues, and if any of them are using Viva Media's version.

Well this month alone 18 leagues have advertised in the online league section, so say the average per league is 24 then your talking 432 players (some will be in multiple leagues) in those leagues alone, no hard facts but must be getting up to 800-1000 maybe someone as some hard numbers.
