Hi All,
Can someone help me to send a league that I am playing on my computer to a friend as a ZIP file? As most of you can tell by my question I am a newbie and not the brightest when it comes to computers. So if you could help me with step by step easy instructions that would be most appreciated. Thank you in advance, Jerry

First download the evaluation version of WinZip and intall it. Installation is pretty easy, just run winzip81.exe to start the installation procedure, then follow the instructions displayed on the screen.
Once that is installed you should be able to just Right-Click on any league and choose "ADD TO YOUR-LEAGUE-FOLDER-NAME.LG.zip" and the WinZip program will 'zip' (compress) your 10-25 MB size league down to a relatively small 1-2 MB ZIP file named "YOUR-LEAGUE-FOLDER-NAME.LG.zip" (with whatever league you chose replacing "YOUR-LEAGUE-FOLDER-NAME"). The newly created ZIP file should be in your OOTP4 folder, and that is the file you can email to a buddy etc.. Sometimes there are settings you might need to adjust to make sure all the game files (and folder) are being zipped up, but I think it might work okay just following the above instructions. Hopefully someone will correct me if this is inaccurate. [ March 29, 2002: Message edited by: Killebrew ]
|
