1995 Indians
Took over the Indians in the 1995 season. Seeing if I can't finish the job they never could. And let me tell you, statistical realism, is one thing, but holy cow. I just wrapped up a divisional round series with wilcard Oakland A's and it was like reliving that season. Because not only do the players play like they did, but the games play out the same way. By that, I refer to the fact that, in winning the series, all three games were won by late inning comebacks (they had something like 12 or 14 walkoff wins that year. Astonishing.). Manny drawing a bases loaded walkoff BB to win game two. Thome hitting a 2 run homer to win game 3. And game 4? A absolutley crazey 17 inning marathon, just like the 13 inning game the Indians and Red Sox played that year, with so many lead changes. I used 8 pitchers in that one. Now it's on to the ALCS to face the Red Sox.
edit - I meant to put this in the historical leagues sections. Bah. Last edited by metal134; 05-02-2011 at 01:51 AM. |

Well, whereever this post winds up - well done!
Personally I didn't pay much attention to baseball during this period. The 1994 strike shook my confidence, and by the time I started to come out of it the steroid scandals started to hit. I've heard great things about the mid-90s Indians however. They're still looked at with a great deal of nostalgia here in Cleveland. |

Yeah, I get that. But I was only 13 and knew nothing of what was going on at the time.
