Injury? Out 75 months!

I have a young SP in AAA who is out 75 months with a STIFF NECK!? Really? Is there anyway to get him healthy sooner, or is he basically done and will hang up his cleats due to being injured for 6 years.

Edit him. You need to go to Commissioner Mode, then to that player's Editor page, which is the tab farthest to the right on the top of his Player Profile. Injuries are about halfway down the lefthand column.

75 days wouldn't be TOO outrageous, considering that if he was a Met there would automatically be complications and setbacks.

I see he's exhausted. Maybe something else was stiff.

I wonder if CEI will ever get the overhaul it needs. Instead of being a CEI right away, players should just simply not be the same again, and a CEI be determined by "lack of talent"

Hell. I see why he has a stiff neck. Its from watching those 133 home runs he allowed in AAA. I would be out for 75 months too. Or the 453 base on balls. Sounds like a chronic repetitive use syndrome!

Yea something looks like it got corrupted here. According to the screenshot, it's mid-July of 1999, and according to his stat line, he's already started 47 games. Even if his team has played 100 games by July 15th, that would mean this poor guy had started every other game.

What happens when you look at his game log? What does the rest of his team look like as far as pitching rotation? If those look normal, I would imagine that somehow his numbers are getting multiplied by some random multiplier. I've seen that happen before when a player's stats get corrupted. It's possible that whatever is getting multiplied to the stats might be getting multiplied to the injury length.

Not if you're familiar with Carlton Loewer. If anything, Markus should use this to tout OOTP's realism.

I may be wrong, but I think that is what happens if you don't fill your minors with ghost players and you only have 2 or 3 starters on a staff.

Actually, I have it set up, that the minors are filled with fictional players, but they are kept from making to the big leagues.

I remember Loewer. Another of the Phillies great 1st round picks. They had high hopes for him and then used him to acquire Andy Ashby who didn't exactly light it up.

...more like severed neck. Despite his solid scout ratings, this guy might need 75 months to reflect on a career in baseball.
