member picture question

how do i get a picture up below my member name? i'm readin somethin about a complete URL being needed. I have the pic saved in my computer...so now i'm confused. any help?

it needs to be on the internet. For my snoopy, I just provided the url to the pic at peanuts.com. If you have web space, put your pic there and use that url (for example, <a href="http://www.members.aol.com/~yourname/yourpic.gif)." target="_blank">http://www.members.aol.com/~yourname/yourpic.gif).</a> if not, point to an already-on-the-net pic like I did.

It has to be a decent site as well, sites like Angelfire or Geocities won't let you directly link images from their sites, AOL will though.
