Hoffman Park

And since it is opening day - here is another new fictional park. Hoffman Park was one I started several years ago but could never get the "graveyard" center field to look how I wanted. I have not used this in game yet, so I have not set any dimensions - I am open to suggestions.

All the ballparks on page 6 r variations of Baker Bowl. That stadium was Tigers Den created by Emath of High Heat for me for my EBL team the Delgado Tigers. Baker Bowl is my favorite stadium. the other 1 with the WGN billboard is WGN Field created by Trues or Emath for the Cubs. 5 of my 9 teams i use play in Baker Bowl the other 4 play in Old & New Comiskey.

Beautiful. I love the deep RF and the wall in LF, though I recognize that from one of your earlier parks. The skyline and hills in the background look really great.

Thats funny, Trues is the guy who created MVPMods, and emath is a regular poster over there still today.

yeah they both bolted to MVP and The Show when High Heat finally died. I came here. I wish i had skills like Blue, True & Emath. I have tons of ideas, just not skill to apply them.

The wall is actually from a park originally done by Teflon quite a while ago, which shows how long this park has sat on the shelf partially finished. This is the second time I stole that wall from his original park.

I'm familiar with both parks but would have never guessed that you took the wall for the blue dome from that original Teflon park. That's the one I was referring to, I thought you had done it. Your work and Teflon's work is both excellent.

While I was working on updating my solo fictional league in v12, I realized I never posted the generic version of Baker Bowl. Here it is without the Phillies mark on the outfield wall.

While working on my league, I also updated some of my other parks so that the default ball location coordinates would better align with the parks. For some parks this meant only minor changes while others had to be reworked a little more to make the new size of the field fit. I will post some of these over the next couple of days.

These ballparks along with the Kalama Premier League quickstart are some of the best mod work I have seen. Great work.

Only if you were not a Boise State fan!

Blueturf any chance you could do a version of Old Comiskey & County Stadium? I hate the picture or TLB versions.

Thanks, I am glad you like the stadiums and the quickstart. Can't help the Boise State thing - I have been a fan for over 30 years.

No, I don't plan to do a Comiskey or County Stadium. As I have mentioned before, I am somewhat limited by any source material that is available to cull images for cut & paste. I prefer not to be limited by the expectation of what a park should look like. Since I play almost exclusively fictional in OOTP, I make the stadiums for my leagues and put them out there in case others enjoy them. I have a few other fictional parks in the works, but I doubt I will ever attempt to intentionally create real or historical stadiums

Minor updates

I don't usually use the ball flight and locations when playing OOTP, but I have found it is easier to set up a league if all of the stadiums have the mound, plate and other portions of the field in the same location for all parks. I have gone back through some of my older parks and made adjustments so they would align better with the default settings for ball flight locations.

Kuhlman Field, Baker Stadium and Waterfront Park all had minor changes done to them to fit the default view, but it did not drastically change the look of the park. I have updated the image for these parks on their original post in this thread. Other parks required more drastic changes in order to fit in with the default view and I will post those as I finish them.

more changes

Here are a few other parks that I made changes to in order to make them fit the default ballpark coordinates.

Crescent Rim Stadium is one of my favorites that I have done because of the way the background scene was pieced together. The problem with the stadium was always that the field was way too small to make the player positions fit when playing out a game in OOTP. In order to make the field large enough, I had to sacrifice the prominence of the skyline - otherwise the buildings would have been cut off and part of the building going out of view.
The original stadium can be found here.

The new version has a change in the position and size of the buildings and added a second deck in the outfield.

Flatiron Field
This stadium goes way back and I couldn't find the original thread in the forum, but it had to have been one of the first stadiums that I did a mod to. In order to get the Busch spires to fit into view on the remake, I had to lower the rim of the stadium, decreasing the size of the upper deck. I changed the look of the seating and added a bullpen in right field.
