League crashes every time trying to run Spring Training
Anyone else have this issue? We are about to begin our 3rd season and all of a sudden can't run spring training. When I click on "Finish Day" to move to the first day of Spring Training, I get the OOTP error box and the game shuts down. Anyone else having a similar problem that can help? Thanks in advance.
If it matters, we contracted 6 teams from the start to get down to 24. I didn't have any errors running the offseason between seasons 1 and 2 though so I wouldn't think that's part of the problem. Jason |

I researched through the forums and found another owner that discovered problems with the 40-man rosters. In search our rosters, there were a handful of teams that had the same thing, players currently on the 25-man roster that weren't "Rule V protected" by being on the 40-man. Unfortunately, correcting that did not prevent me from getting the game to shut down again.
Any suggestions? Right now our entire league is put on hold.

This would seem to be a candidate for Tech Support, except that it appears to be shut down until the release of Version 12.…

This same thing happened to my online league. The problem ended up being a player who was not offered arbitration and became a free agent, but was left on the original team's 40-man roster. So he was on two 40-man rosters. I had to go back to my backup at salary arbitration and make sure he was not on the 40-man and re-sim up to Spring Training.
If that isn't it, this is what I got from support when I submitted a ticket; it wasn't my issue but maybe it would work for you: Quote:

I read somewhere else that a league had issues with players on 25-man rosters not being protected on the 40-man roster. I had high hopes this would be our problem since our Rule V draft eligible players had a number of current ML'ers. Unfortunately, after going team by team and fixing that, the problem still exists. I will now try and go through arbitration eligible players and see if that's it. Thanks for the suggestion.
As a matter of fact, there were a handful of players that received arbitration and teams said they wouldn't have offered. I had simmed too many days at once and didn't give them the chance to non-tender. I bet that's definitely the problem. Thanks.
